
Dave Crofton is an accomplished consultant, facilitator and communicator. Following a 34 year career with Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC), he established Osiris Consulting in 1998 and provides a broad range of senior level consulting services. His experience covers a wide range of human resource management and planning areas including leadership, competency management, organizational development, change management, and staffing. He also provides facilitation and workshops in leadership, change management, instructional techniques, presentation skills and conflict resolution.
Through interviews, focus groups, research and analysis of organizational structures, processes and issues, Dave has developed Strategic HR Planning Frameworks, revised organizational structures, new recruitment plans, workflow models, and evaluation tools. Clients include Canada Post, CIBC, the Province of Ontario, the Department of Justice, Health Canada, Industry Canada and the Canadian Nuclear Science Commission.
At HRSDC, Dave directed the Integrated Competency Based Management project and the senior management training and development program. He also gained considerable experience in the development of work descriptions and competency profiles, classification level assessments, grievance and dispute management, and conflict resolution.
Dave has also carried out a number of international assignments for the World Bank and the Russian Department of Labour. He delivered leadership and management development workshops and provided organizational design and development expertise in 11 locations across Russia.
